The sale of a business can be considered the ‘holy grail’ - it is certainly the end game. It should deliver the proceeds for the entrepreneur that make the hard work over the years extremely worthwhile and valuable.

Section 10.1 starts with the end in mind and sets the scene for the main thrust of the chapter, while Section 10.2  ‘the Process’, includes:

Chapter 10.3 considers whether the entrepreneur should take advice. There are conflicting views from the contributors. However the overall outcome is that taking advice is valuable but only from trusted and experienced advisors. The common thread from the entrepreneurs interviewed was that they were, generally happy with the outcomes achieved and advice taken at the time.

Remember – entrepreneurs provide a solutions to their customers, employment for their employees and customers for their suppliers. Without the entrepreneur, there would be no story to tell.

In the rest of the book, there are specific comments on the characteristics of being an entrepreneur, together with up-to-date, practical and useful management tools and techniques for entrepreneurs. In my next couple of blogs, I will share with you a couple of these tools, as a sample of what you will find in my new book.
